SPJ-FIU Named Regional Honoree

It's bittersweet to announce that SPJ-FIU came in second place for the SPJ Campus Chapter of the Year Award. Over the past academic year, our chapter's members evolved into a great team of student leaders. We hosted a variety of eccentric events including interviewing zombies, reporting an alien invasion on campus and practicing obituary writing in an actual funeral home. We are passionate about educating student journalists about the realities of the field and will continue to do so this upcoming year.
